A bit about Lydia...

I started advising clients at the grand old age of 24, and spent the early part of my career trying to seem older than I actually was, because I'd convinced myself that's what credibility looked like. I’ve been advising clients since 2019 and I’ve learned the best thing you can be in this industry is yourself, so these days, that's exactly what my clients get.

I’m Chartered, which took a fair few exams and a fair few evenings I won't get back, and I've spent my career advising people approaching and enjoying retirement. I know what it's like to worry about money; I grew up with plenty of that worry, and it's part of why I take this work personally. Helping someone realise they're going to be fine, and watching them actually believe it, is genuinely the best part of the job.

My favourite area of advice is inheritance tax planning, as this is where I get to be most creative. There are so many solutions to solve this problem, and I love nothing more than blending several of these together to create a plan that’s truly bespoke for each and every client. It’s always nice sharing the significant tax savings my clients (and their families) have achieved as a result too!

Outside of work...

Outside work you’ll probably find me running around Sefton Park, or enjoying a glass of wine and a cheese board at one of the local wine bars! I also love to travel and experience new places - the further off the beaten track the better!
